I’m the female Icarus who flew close to the sun,
feathers windswept, radiating the streak of your kiss.
What’s that look on your face? I see the universe in you,
infinity beyond word it’s beginning, middle, and end.
Don’t sink below clouds, let’s drive bomb the wind!
In our aura of dreams we’ll skim the haze of sunrise.
Shifting beats. Hearts of song notes. I’m not proud, I fell
for you. Beats rocking, beats rolling, we colliding like boom.
The female Icarus, I flew close to the sun. Rose up
from fired earth attracted to your heat, I’m a soul that shines,
I’ll burnish your presence. Lifted by the sun I’m drawn to you,
(how will I survive beyond this moment without you?)
My world is your word lean close I want to listen.
As secrets unfurl onto my tepid breath I’m putting faith
in the Father and in the hands of Mother earth. Trust’s a virtue
earned. How will we share, if we don’t give it to each other?
I see gold dust in the hip hop of your flow. I’d fly for miles,
I’d soar with the swallows, V-shaped for victory no trickery.
I’m the female Icarus. I flew close to the sun. It took a while
for me to realise it was your eyes had me tranquilised and dizzy
Coco Cola fizzy. We all know the beat of these song notes,
sometimes love’s not easy. To taste the danger, a touching stranger,
to crash and burn, to do or die, but all the time make sure to fly.

I like that! Still flying?
Quite a wonderful view point, a kaleidoscope of emotions! Sincerely ~Deborah
I love the idea, the metaphor for emotion, in someone making your heart cokacola-fizzy.
Lots of strong stuff here.
